Don’t miss our 2024 Admiral Nimitz Conference (formerly Symposium)!
This year’s theme is “The Manhattan Project: The Beginning of the Atomic Age”. Events kick off Friday evening, September 20th with a cocktail hour and a Student Poster Presentation. On Saturday, September 21st, speaker presentations and roundtables will be held in the Historic Nimitz Ballroom of the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Our guest speakers will be focusing on the fascinating lives of the people working behind the scenes during the Manhattan Project. The four presentation topics include “The Project Y Spies,” “Shock and Awe in Japan: Trauma between Science and Politics,” “The Girls of Atomic City: Life in a Secret City of the Manhattan Project,” and” Atomic Doctors: The Unique Role of the Manhattan Project Physicians.”
